This is our Foundation project and partnering page! If you are a fellow or "sister" Foundation or socially responsible company, your help is greatly needed! See a few of our PARTNER categories HERE. Read the brief descriptions below to get ideas both on how we're working to link the planet's largest databases of test prep problems and solutions to dozens of partnering programs and projects worldwide, including our one of a kind, FREE, innovative GNU Software cloud, TV and Radio, In-text digital wiki links, dedicated test/citation wikis, and MUCH more.
Email us if you have an interest in partering, funding, or being funded in any of the ongoing projects below. There also are links in the description to Preptorial funded, founded or contributed projects for examples of how your vision and ideas might integrate with ours.
Mission: The Foundation's mission is simple: to make practice exams, software, devices, texts, problems and solutions freely available to the learning disabled or disadvantaged, as well as homeschoolers, students, teachers, autodidacts and others who need FREE resources but don't qualify for student discounts. ANYONE IN NEED CAN BENEFIT. The primary vehicle for this mission is the multimillion item test banks actively managed by Preptorial, as well as our GNUCloud services. The Foundation Projects on this page are all about LINKING, COORDINATING AND DISSEMINATING the value of those databases and services through channel partnering.
PassRSS:Feeds, links, downloads, format conversions and other networking of test bank, citation, bib and other content to and through partners.
***AnimatedCalculator™*** (Top rated partnering project!):In the future, handheld calculators and smart phones won't just graph functions, they will seamlessly ANIMATE them with the touch of a screen or button. That future begins today! We're already working on the circuits, software, apps, algorithms, and in partnership with ShaderJoes contributing company, the astonishing 3D handheld calculator and app animations that will replace graphing in the next couple years. Imagine how much better the LEARNING value of your handheld will be when you can easily key in words, formulas, qualitative info, numerics, or graphs and see what that dynamical system is DOING in instant 3D animation. Then, export to your paper, site, text, private wiki, etc. as an instant .gif. Partners in both software and hardware welcome, from HP and TI to Maple, MatLab, Mathcad, Mathematica, Maya, Samsung, etc., as well as GNU FREE cloud programs accessible by handhelds like GNU Octave!
***GNUCloud*** (Top rated partnering project!): Some contributors and partners contribute server space and other helpful assets in addition to funds. This project is one of our favorites! Even with student discounts, parents, autodidacts, older folk returning to self study or new professions, home schoolers, and over 40 million other learners find that SOFTWARE is becoming so expensive that it is outpacing even rising textbook costs!
Just as some commercial software companies are letting you "use" their software for a large monthly fee in the cloud, we've taken the same idea and made it FREE! There are just as many free software programs just as good as the expensive commercial ones, and our unique GNUCloud project makes it possible for learners to use virtually ANY software program in it's free form, in our FREE cloud.
Instead of SPSS or Minitab, use R, FREE! Instead of Mathcad or Maple, use GNU OCTAVE FREE, in our cloud. No downloads, no storage, no keys, no proof of who you are, just EVERY TECHNICAL AND ACADEMIC software program, in it's freeware form, in the cloud, at no cost, with nothing to download or store. A MUST for ANY budget conscious learner or home schooler, and software isn't a should but a must today for learning. EVERY simple or technical program is now available FREE. From simple photo editing and digital art analogs (Processing instead of Photoshop®!) to the most complex CAD/CAM, Engineering, Math, Physics, Medical, Aviation and other programs are now, or will be, in our cloud for all to use FREE. Whether you're designing an astrodynamics trajectory or schematics for your own new patent, this is your alternative to investing thousands in software, especially if you're a self learner or online or homeschool teacher who can't "prove" you're a student or teacher for discounts.
Autodidacts, home schoolers and self study learners and teachers: GNUCloud also now gives you all the benefits of going to a major School or University without spending a penny, and without having to prove you're a student or teacher, including instructor and solution manuals! Traditional schools have electronic learning systems and other structural software to help you. GNUCloud does the same for self learners and teachers-- all the infrastructure you need FREE, without using a single byte of your disc or drive storage.
Another HUGE benefit: When you use our free cloud form of freeware, you don't need additional compiler, interpreter or other downloads taking up space on your devices or costing you precious funds. That means you can use SDKs, development platforms, runtime environments, etc. RIGHT ON OUR CLOUD. This goes both for development programs (like Java, Python or C#) as well as application programs. This also makes it possible to access highly technical and byte intensive programs with smart phones, appliances and tablets, not just PCs or laptops.Email us for a complete list of current and planned freeware and cloud access.
How GNUCloud Helps Your TestBank: You can easily access millions of question/answer - problem/solution sets on our databases, free. But what if you want to take timed, sample tests or exams? What if you want to PRACTICE in a real life or real testing environment with REAL problem and question sets? GNUCloud to the rescue! As an autodidact, home schooler or even in a traditional or online school, you would need SOFTWARE to simulate the exam or test bank. GNUCloud removes that restriction, and allows you to take as many simulated, practice and sample tests and exams as you'd like, including even FREE simulated job interviews for everything from a Locksmith to a Java coder! The AI software to simulate these situations is resident on your free GNUCloud, so there is no need to download, install or buy anything, and your identity remains your own. (This is a development project, please contribute!).
Q. What if I learn, pass all the tests, and even ace my interview in Octave, then the firm ends up using Maple?
A. Preptorial offers thousands of transition tutorials between GNU and commercial, all FREE, but let us let you in on a secret: the BEST firms, agencies and schools in the US are now PREFERRING GNU and other open source solutions in addition to commercial, because the best and brightest can code directly at source! Also, for example, research industries actively use R, ajunctive to Minitab and SPSS in research design; GM and Ford actively use Octive handshaking with Maple, etc.
This is the world of today, and a budget conscious tomorrow, in business as well as government and education! To be even more honest, Ocatave is almost identical to MatLab in MANY ways, and some of the files between GNU/FREE and commercial programs can be seamlessly shared! Commercial companies allow this to help with education and socially, and look the other way as long as these resources aren't being used to compete commercially, which of course GNU prohibits.
PassLearning:Our software division for creating unique testbank related ELS systems, and ties to existing and planned systems via plug ins, software, programming, cloud services, templates, networks, databases, streaming media, conversions and much more. We'd love to "back room" your ELS or online systems with our test banks if you have an itunes, coursera, Lynda, SCORM, Moodle or other platform you're enhancing or developing.
PassChannel: Programming for podcasts, television, radio, streaming media, webcasts, edu sims, and other integration of problem/solution and test bank assets to wider media. Content development for new and existing broadcast venues including learning sims. Streaming broadcasts available through school networks and libraries. PassChannel also includes our TVPREP and TVGNU programming, which requires only a regular TV, and no computer, to access. PassChannel creates programming in all formats for all media, from TV and Radio to web, Kindle, smartphones, tablets, ChromeBooks and many others. These include regular broadcast and cable in addition to web channels and satellite. Content is as varied as testbank animations, cartoons, mysteries, comic characters, puzzles, challenges, contests, stories, detective stories, embedded text content and many others.
PassComputing:Our cloud, hosting, search, social media, computing and technology projects intended to expand the "share of mind" allocated in all media to test prep, problem/solution learning strategies and test banks. Computing projects include custom wikis, hosting and creation of problem/solution animations, hint sequences for test banks and test prep, and software plug ins, packages, templates, patterns and open source code related to problem - solutions sets, test prep, and test banks.
Compression and Scanning examples: Over 5 million problem/ solution sets would occupy less than half a petabyte with moderate illustrations. (For example, only 20,000 of our physical subject volumes, containing 3,000 q/a pairs each, would equal 60 million pairs)! With nearly a million volumes available according to Google Books-- question: you do the math! Adding interactive hints and animation boosts storage and scan/ conversion cost to over a petabyte, and adding video and audio adds petabytes of storage requirements.
As an example, the King James Bible in 5 x 8 at 1,124 pages is 3 megabytes on PassTablet, Kindle, Droid, Ipad, etc. The same trim and number of pages in an electronic circuit test bank will use 38 meg, due to illustrations alone. Adding animation and hints boosts that single problem set/ etext test bank to 5 gigabytes. The average CPA electronic study guide set of 3 or 4 videos, powerpoints, audio and 9 test bank texts is 50 gigabytes when converted to test bank electronics. Normal text pages of 2,500 document sheets, or 5,000 pages, cost about $130 US for scanning alone. That would represent print banks of about 17 books -- 300 pages average each. (Of course, when we say print, these all have to eventually be in electronic form to be stored in the cloud)!

PairBase is The Preptorial Foundation's open source software project for question/answer, problem/solution, exercise/explanation pairs. All mathematics, and hence all logic and computing, start with: "How Does A relate to B?" Our comprehensive WIKI, like the original Wikipedia, allows searches on any topic. Unlike any other Wiki, the results are not articles, but PAIRS of questions/answer sets, relationships ("What is the difference between a remainder and a modulo?"), problem/solution pairs and exercise (example) - explanation pairs.
A New Search Technology, Paradigm, Ontology and Taxonomy
Designed to integrate seamlessly with Hadoop, HBase, Java and big data server warehouses, as well as any e-learning, e-book or databases seeking cited bib references, PairBase is a completely new and different search technology. It not only uses pairs in native code, it also outputs in pairs based on our extensive, fully cited database of questions and answers, in test solution form. Our goal is 70 Billion of these pairs in the next 5 years. PairBase will revolutionize web searches, as the planet's largest source of vetted problem/solution pairs.
Other than the "big 4," PairBase is the only natively cloud-enabled engine. This was designed from day one to make pair searches accessible to libraries and schools who might not have big data access or commodity computing. Click HERE to learn more about ELWIN, the GNUCad GUI, and FREE problem/solution databases, cloud services and test pairs, as well as PairBase.

Database Statistics: Here's how our databases compare to published statistics: The US Bureau of Labor Statistics classifies 840 job categories. Our database is slightly more refined, and includes over 918 categories with over 1,000 fields. Of these categories, about 80% require a test or exam of some kind, and each of the 50 US States and over 200 countries have their own slightly varying different versions of these exams in many categories. Some professions are standardized, others vary by area. We have over 200,000 specific exams on file representing an average of 100 questions for vocations and professions, including all States and associations. CLICK HERE to SELL US your exam, test prep materials, texts, or to get paid for your exit interview!
Academia and academic studies are listed in 1,528 subject categories, with nearly 3,000 individual detailed subjects, by the Department of Education, Wikipedia's list of subjects, and a variety of national education councils and associations. Our databases generally correspond to this number, with tests and exams in 1,936 acedemic topic areas not including vocational keywords. Our current, comprehensive test banks contain more than a million entries (questions), with over 4.8 million in process at any given time! The disparity is that many of the questions do not "make it" into widely accepted venues for the most necessary exams, but every well posed question has learning value, many much more so than lengthy discussions or equations, because solving problems and completing exercises gives a "real world" feel for the subject matter, especially when augmented with animation, illustration and video explanations of both right and trick answers. Our exclusive EDUTOKEN network PAYS students for right answers when gaming for test prep on their computers, smart phones or other devices.
Databases Organization: Our keyword searches identify questions with lightning fast, complex, thorough, bayesian, robust data mining algorithms that are proprietary and specialized to your search. For example, our searches cross reference over 1,000 job, vocation and profession categories; nearly 3,000 academic subjects; over 5,000 professional associations, companies, societies and bodies of knowledge that conduct, score or create testing; over 33,000 test banks/cd's/publications (Bing and Google have over 100 million keyword results for test prep and test bank links), and the world's largest database of current, complete questions, answers and explanations, many animated or video, all with robust illustration. WHY PAY THOUSANDS FOR YOUR PREP WHEN YOU CAN GET THE MOST CURRENT, COMPLETE BANKS FREE?!
Example: You can get a PhD in Actuarial Science, a Masters in Programming, or have 20 years of experience as a Locksmith, but if you can't pass the Actuarial Society Exams, Microsoft Certification, or the ASLPA Exam, you won't get a job, and you won't be licensed! Same with ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT and hundreds of others for academic admission and achievement.

The Mission and Purpose of The Preptorial Foundation is to provide FREE test preparation databases and practice exams, and FREE GNU software and technology in the cloud, on the internet, and for devices. We serve the poor, autistic, disabled, disadvantaged and underprivileged. We are on the honor system, and do not require proof of need. Having too many bills to afford an education is ample reason. We DO NOT engage in political or legislative activities. All materials we provide or use are royalty free, GNU free or attribution use, or used with permission. DO NOT attempt to use these materials commercially or resell without contacting us first, as we have agreed to nonprofit use with some providers on the rare occasion where we haven't created the materials for you FREE.

Physical Texts Note: Preptorial now has access to over 9 million + titles, over a million journals, and over 20,000 software programs, the highest in the world for ANY test prep service, thanks to the generous help of libraries, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Google, Questia, DOAJ, hundreds of publishers including university publications, Microsoft, Scribd, and the top 500 AM sellers, who inventory a million books or more. For comparison, Amazon generally has over 12 million titles any given time, not including ebooks. In support of our mission, we are ensuring that every title is available electronically, including those classic or long out of date and public domain. Email us if you have books you'd like to donate, in any condition or format. The only requirement is that they must contain problems and solutions or questions and answers (ie: no novels, biographies, etc.), with an emphasis on technology, including vocational as well as scientific technology.
Databases are only as good as their underlying indexing technologies. At the user level, these are seen as keywords, topics, subjects, and high level categories. In the back room, the coding is about giving you the most relevant set (question/ answer, problem/solution, exercise sets) for your needs.
Needs vary, and so does ProblemEngine. Are you taking the SAT? Are you teaching string theory? Are you qualifying for Microsoft O/S, Cisco Network, Oracle database or IEEE circuit design certification? Do you need to pass the State of Delaware Polygraph Examiner certification exam? Do you need Mrs. Altmann's 2018 Geometry exam? Are you interviewing with Google for a Data Scientist position? Millions of these types of objectives and their needs are included in every type of search, from raw keyword, to questions and needs in the exact form above.
All these benefits and tools are rolled up into the most innovative, FREE elearning software system in the world: ELWIN, our GNUCAD program that integrates questions, answers, problems, solutions, hints, tips, clues, formulas, etc., all in a single, user-friendly drag and drop interface. You can see the beta at GNUCad.com.
Many web services like Wolfram, Wiki, Google, Bing and others are working on "user friendly" question formats, but it is easier for us, because of our laser focus on prep and q/a, p/s, exercise pairs. Most of the advanced forms of these only result in vaguely related forums on today's searches, but with specialized databases, the "top 10" results can be direct answers to your exact questions.
This also is the future of Wikipedias, and the present of our own captive "relational" Wikis: How does A relate to B?"What is the difference between a remainder and a modulo?" Just like Jeopardy, if you ask this on ProblemEngine, you'll get a question/answer, problem/solution, exercise response, and you can specify if you want a single answer set, a complete exam, at what level of difficulty, and in what format: written, audio, video, hinted, animated, illustrated, broadcast, or an entire cited bib, index, glossary and text.
AND: how FUN do you want it? Fast and dry? As a puzzle? Game? Smart phone or email text, app or answer? Graphic novel? Who says test or interview prep can't be fun? We're even working on VIRTUAL JOB INTERVIEWS with real interviewers using 3D RIFT technology.
Thought for the day: THE INTERNET IN 1936?
“A mechanism of world inter-communication will be devised, embracing the whole planet, freed from national hindrances and restrictions, and functioning with marvellous swiftness and perfect regularity.”
--Shoghi Effendi, The World Order of Bahá’u’lláh, op. cit., p. 203, March 11, 1936
